I have owned this
Honda GL 1000 for two years and have deliberately kept it as near original as possible. I service it myself and repair components as and when necessary. There is a big GL1000 following in the U.S.A. so spare parts, such as points, all and air filters can still be sourced. The silencers are a stainless steel copy of the original which were made from mild steel and painted black. New shocks and slightly heavier fork oil has helped with ride and handling. The original seat cover fell prey to the sun so I have had to have it replaced by a professional upholsterer. There is a limit to my abilities!!
