2005 Buell Ulysses XB12X

Buell Ulysses XB12X 2005 Owner: Warron Gibbons

V-Twin 1200cc motor, 104hp, Top speed around 220km. Weighs 193kgs. Holds 16.7 litres of fuel with a range of approx 300km. Fuel usage at approx 20-21 km per litre which is very good for a 1200cc.

The Buell Ulysses is the adventure version of the Buell XB range of bikes so it can be used on both tar seal and trails. At the same time it is a competent sports bike due to excellent handling and weight distribution which is set low in the bike.
Features of this bike are;
1. It uses a modified 1200 Harley Davidson V twin motor.
2. Fuel is stored in the frame to keep weight low.
3. Exhaust is under the motor for the same reason
4. Front bake disc is fixed to the outside rim so the wheel can be made much higher as the stresses of braking don't have to be passed through the spokes.
5. It has a short wheel base which makes for a quick nimble handling bike.
