Subaru models are equipped with Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, a total system that includes a lightweight horizontally opposed Subary boxer engine and full-time-All-Wheel Drive. The boxer design engine provides for a low center of gravity, and the logitudinal placement of the engine and transmission in the chassis gives the vehicle outstanding balance. This results in outstanding traction, handling and overall balance. This six-cylinder Subary boxer engine produces 245 horsepower @ 6,600 rpm and 215 lb-ft. of torque @ 4,200 rpm, and is combined with Variable Torque Distribution (VTD) All-Wheel Drive.
