Gilles Villeneuve lived his racing life on the edge. He drove every corner of every lap of the limit. From the onset, fans world-wide fell in love with the petite French Canadian as they loved to watch his one-of-a-kind racing style. Racing journalists and photographers were also captivated by him as they documented his career with words and with pictures.


Beginning with the early days as a snowmobile racer and culminating with his career in Formula One, artists have painted their perception of Gilles, photographers have shot pictures that captured his passion and spirit and journalists have written about the qualities that set him apart from every other racer.
