Audi has created a sexier, more visually appealing vehicle with the 3.2 Quattro. The Quattro has always been regarded as one of the best all-wheel-drive systems and this latest sports coupe certainly lives up to its reputation. The 2008 TT is sportier and sexier than previous models and is guaranteed to turn heads on and off the road.
Speedy Performance
The speed of the TT 3.2 Quattro will impress adrenalin junkies. The powerful engine produces 236 lb-ft of torque and 250 horsepower. Thanks to the 3.2-litre V6 engine, this sexy vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in an impressive 6.5 seconds. It stops from that speed in 38 meters.
Quick, But Steady
The TT features optional Magnetic Ride suspension which results in a firmer ride. Rather than gas or oil, the shocks contain a magnetic fluid. Their rigidity adjusts to the shifting habits of the driver as well as the various road conditions. Drivers can select sport or normal modes.
The all-wheel drive also adds to the steady performance of the 3.2 Quattro. You won’t experience any wheelspin or torque steer with this baby, even when the gas pedals fully depressed. Drivers will be able to handle the sharpest curves with ease.
Sleek Styling
Designers have retained the TT’s popular streamlined roofline, simple lines and distinctive curves. The designers have retained the circles and domes motif of the previous model, but the new model is 162.9 inches which is 5.3 inches longer and 3 inches wider.
Audi created the ASF Space Frame design which is constructed of steel and aluminum. They have combined different materials by utilizing aluminum for 69 percent of the body and 31 percent with steel components found near the rear. This ensures a balanced distribution of the axle loads.
Impressive Spoiler
The first TT models featured a small rear spoiler to guarantee stability at higher speeds. The spoiler is still present on the newer model; the difference is that it’s flush with the tail of the vehicle at low speeds. As soon as drivers hit the 120 km/h mark, the spoiler rises and descends at 80 km/h. This greatly improves downforce and makes an impressive sight while you’re racing down the highway.
Small Interior
As sexy as the 3.2 Quattro is, taller drivers need to be aware of the very small interior. There is not much extra room inside and the two back seats are more for show than anything else. Children will fit if you push the passenger seat forward, but forget about seating adults back there. The 2008 TT is obviously designed with the driver in mind.
High-Tech Features
Drivers will appreciate the flat-bottomed steering wheel and automatic air conditioning system. This makes it easier to enter and exit the vehicle.
Drivers can utilize all the latest technology during their commute by opting for an advanced audio package, iPod interface and Bluetooth connectivity. Other cool high-tech options include an adaptive light dynamic cornering light system. If you hate parallel parking, you’ll love the
Audi parking system which will make this task much easier.
